My parents loved to dance. My dad was the best at it and he taught my brother and me everything about dancing and music that he knew. If there were no special plans after the episode, then we knew my dad who was a DJ in his spare time, would pick up where Soul Train left off. Don't get tired now!!!
From October 2, 1971 until March 25, 2006 African Americans were showcased on the longest running music syndicated program on US television. Unfortunately, just six years after his brainchild's last airing Mr. Don Cornelius was found dead on February 1, 2012 of an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The world was stunned and fans mourned his passing deeply. Rest easy Mr. Cornelius, you did great!!!
