Some people like to keep it simple, burgers, hotdogs, and maybe even steaks. Then there are the rest of us...we'll grill damn near anything. Every now and then I like to share fantastic recipes on the blog. If you are mushroom lovers or simply want to try a new recipe, put on music to bop your head to and check out this quick and easy grilled Portobello mushroom recipe! ♫ I'ma get your head sprung! ♫

GRILLED PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM

Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Additional Time: 1 hour

Total time: 1 hour 20 mins

Total Servings: 3 (to serve more multiply the ingredients as necessary)

Ingredients:

3 large Portobello mushrooms

1/4 cup canola oil

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

3 tablespoons chopped onion

4 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:

1 - Clean mushrooms, remove stems, reserving them for another use. Place mushroom caps gill-side up in a shallow dish.

2 - Combine oil, balsamic vinegar, onion, and garlic in a small bowl. Pour mixture evenly over mushroom caps; let marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.

3 - Preheat the grill to medium-high heat; grease the grate.

4 - Grill over the hot grill until caramelized and tender, about 5 minutes per size.

5 - As with any other "steak" let it "breathe" and then serve warm.
